[Intl-stu] Miss Universe pageant

[International Students]

Howdy Y'all:

Just wanted to take this opportunity to give a brief recap of the results of
the Miss Universe pageant that was held last night. Congratulations to all
the contestants, the countries they represent, but most importantly to those
who represent the international students community at TAMU-Commerce.

The top twenty list is as follow:

1st Runner-UP: Miss Japan

2nd Runner-Up: Miss Switzerland

3rd Runner-UP: Miss Paraguay

4th Runner-Up: Miss USA

Rest of Top 10:

Miss Canada, Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Miss Bolivia, Miss Mexico, and Miss
Columbia.

Rest of Top 20:

Miss Argentina, Miss Denmark, Miss India, Miss Ethopia, Miss Russia, Miss
Sweden, Miss Thailand, Miss Hungary, Miss Ukraine, and Miss Brazil.

Sectional Prizes:

Best National Costume: Miss Japan

Most Photogenic: Miss Phillipines

Most Congenial: Miss Ghana

Again, congratualtions to everyone; especially to those international
students who had their fellow "country-woman" placed in the finals.

I would love to see the same level of confidence and patriotism to our home
nation displayed in next year's multicultural festival. Start working on
those wonderful national costumes.

Continue to enjoy the summer.
