Hello all international students,
This is Hong-Ning Fang. I am a counselor intern at the Community Counseling
& Psychology Clinic, and I am also an international student. Studying and
living in America is not like studying and living in our own country. In
America, we can experience different cultures, have various experiences, and
meet a lot of new friends. However, there are sometimes more difficulties we
need to deal with by ourselves and more frustrated feelings in our mind.
This international student group (Please see the attachment.) is an
environment in which we can freely express our concerns, get some ideas to
deal with our difficulties, and get support.
What will we do in the first group meeting (2/10, Friday, 3:00~4:30 pm, New
Pride Apartment Meeting Room)? This is an open group for all kinds of
concerns that you have. In the first meeting, we will know something about
the confidentiality, get to know other group members, schedule the group
meeting time, and decide what the group will be in the following meetings.
It is exciting and interesting that you can create your own group where you
can feel safe and belonged.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please feel
free to email to me hongning_fang at yahoo.com <mailto:hongning_fang at yahoo.com>
I am looking forward to hearing from you. See you in the group!
Sincerely,
Hong-Ning
