SUBJECT: THANK YOU

 

The 12th Annual Multicultural Festival on Friday, April 7, 2006, was a BLAST
and a huge success!

Thank you to all students and guests who participated and worked so hard to
make it a huge success.

 

Special thanks go to the Student Organizations participated in the 2006
Festival: The Association of International Students, the Bangladesh Student
Association, the Chinese Student Association, the Indian Student
Association, the CaribSa, the Nepal students, the Nigeria students, the Thai
Student Association, the LULAC, the Native American Association, the NACWC,
the Chi Alpha, the Alpha Phi Alpha, the Residence Life staff, and the flag
carriers. 

 

We had about 400 people attended the Festival which was the same number as
last year (2005).

There were 29 flag carriers, 12 booths of cultural display and ethnic food,
and 6 acts of talent show on stage.

 

The Talent Show was judged by a panel of 3 judges: Ann Bomar, Associate
Professor in the Mass Media, Communication & Theatre Department; Connie
Mears, Assistant Director of Student Activities and Leadership; and Dr. Bill
Thompson, Director of Freshman Success Seminar Department.

The first winner of the talent show was The Indian Student Association, the
second winner was the Chinese Student Association, and the third winner was
the Thai Student Association. Awesome performances, Congratulations!!

 

Again, please accept my sincere appreciation; I could not have done it
without the participation from all of you.
