Subject: Summer 05 Graduates
Reminder:
1. After graduation on August 13, if you do not have OPT
authorization, you have 60 days grace period to remain in the US. During
these 60 days, you have 3 options: prepare to leave the US by October 13;
file application to change your status from F-1 to other status; or continue
to be an F-1 full time student on another degree in Fall 05.
2. If you have been admitted for another degree at TAMU-Commerce
beginning Fall 05, you must contact the ISA and make an appointment for a
brief orientation and a new I-20 for a new degree. This process
must be done within 60 days grace period from the last day of your last
semester or last day of
your OPT. SEVIS will terminate you automatically after 60 days
grace period if updating has not been done in time. If you are terminated by
SEVIS, you are
automatically put out-of-status and you will require
reinstatement before you can continue your studies.
If you plan to transfer to another school, you must notify the
ISA and request your SEVIS release to another school within 60 days grace
period as well. If your
SEVIS record is not released within 60 days, it will be
automatically terminated and you will require reinstatement.
3. ALL international students must report your new address to the ISS
office within 10 days of the change. You must report your change of address
directly to the
ISS office so we can update it in SEVIS. You can report and make request
online at
http://www7.tamu-commerce.edu/international/Fall_2004/Forms/request_form.asp

p>
Reporting in the WEBTRAX alone is not enough because it does not get to
SEVIS.
