Hello Graduate Faculty!

The following information has been sent to all currently enrolled 518/718 students. If you know of any students not currently enrolled in 518/718 who may benefit from this fellowship, please share with them.

Each year, as funds are available, graduate students completing a thesis or dissertation are invited to apply for the Thesis/Dissertation Summer Fellowship. No more than 10 applicants will be chosen to receive this award. A major goal of the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship is to aid students in the final stages of their thesis/dissertation. The fellowships awarded are for students who plan to spend the majority of the summer completing their thesis/dissertation and who plan to graduate at the end of the Summer 2026 (or, at the latest, Fall 2026 semester).

Applications will open March 2, 2026, with the link to the digital application form found at the bottom of the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship<https://inside.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/funding/fellowships/summerThesisDissertationFellowship.aspx> web page becoming active at that time.

Recipients of this fellowship will receive $1,000 for either the Summer I or Summer II term (based on the term you are enrolled in 718) of the Summer 2026 semester. The funds are applied directly to the recipient's student account during the award semester (Summer 2026). If the awardees are receiving financial aid with this award, there may be a need to adjust their total financial aid package. If you receive financial aid and are granted a Fellowship, contact the Scholarships office (903-886-5112) for additional information about how this Fellowship may affect your financial aid award.

Applicants for the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship must comply with the following requirements:

* Be a doctoral or thesis student in good academic standing at East Texas A&M University.

* Have a dissertation or thesis proposal approved or received by TDS by or before April 10, 2026 (you must have received a confirmation email from TDS that your proposal submission has been received and is complete).

* Be enrolled in at least three (3) hours of a dissertation (718) course or a thesis (518) course during one of the Summer 2026 terms for the fellowship period.

If you have any questions, please see the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship<https://inside.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/funding/fellowships/summerThesisDissertationFellowship.aspx> web page or contact Thesis & Dissertation Services at TDS at etamu.edu<mailto:TDS at etamu.edu.>.
