The following information was sent to all 518 and 718 students in the form of an email advising them of the limited availability of funds to assist them in completing their thesis or dissertation over the 2019 summer term.

Hello 518/718 Students!

I have some exciting news for those of you who will be working on your thesis/dissertation during the summer 2019 semester! Applications for the Graduate School's Thesis & Dissertation Summer Fellowship opens March 1, 2019.

Each year, graduate students completing a thesis/dissertation are invited to apply for the Thesis/Dissertation Summer Fellowship. Through this program, many students have benefited and will continue to benefit in their pursuit of higher education. A major goal of the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship is to aid students in the final stages of their thesis/dissertation. These fellowships are for students who plan to spend the majority of the summer completing their dissertation and plan to graduate at the end of the summer or fall semester.

Recipients of these scholarships will receive $1,000 for the summer of 2019. The funds are applied directly to the recipient's student account during the award semester (summer 2019). If the awardees are receiving financial aid with this award, there may be a need to adjust their total financial aid package.

Applications for these funds must be received by Thesis & Dissertation Services (TDS at tamuc.edu<mailto:TDS at tamuc.edu>) by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

The application form is available at:
http://www.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/funding/fellowships/summerThesisDissertationFellowship.aspx

Applicants for the Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship must comply with the following requirements:

* Be a master's, specialist, or doctoral student in good academic standing at A&M-Commerce.

* Have received proposal approval from the Graduate School/Thesis & Dissertation Services no later than May 3, 2019.

* Be enrolled in at least three (3) hours of a thesis (518) or dissertation (718) course during one of the summer terms for the fellowship period.
