Valued CMS Editor,
Our website's homepage, www.tamuc.edu<http://www.tamuc.edu>, is now responsive, which means it's mobile-friendly on any device. We are now ready to make the entire website responsive.
The Center for IT Excellence (CITE) team created responsive templates in Cascade. Then we applied those templates to the entire TAMUC website in a test environment. What does this mean for your department? We need cascade editor to verify all the responsive web pages in the test environment that they maintain between Nov 9 and Nov 20. Below are instructions demonstrating how to verify web pages. Please attend one of the sessions if you need assistance. Your department head has received also received the same information.
CITE staff will be available in BA339 during these sessions.
-        Wednesday - November 11th       9:00 - 11:00 am
-       Tuesday - November 17th              2:00 - 4:00 pm
-       Thursday, November 19th              2:00 - 4:00 pm
Instructions:
The new responsive template for the university pages is now ready for testing. We are asking your help to make sure that this update goes smoothly and without bugs. Please review the pages you are responsible for and provide feedback regarding the responsive functionality. Be sure to test your department webpages on both your computer and a smartphone.

1. Go to http://wwwdev.tamuc.edu/indexdev.html and navigate to your pages.
2. At the same time, in another window go to tamuc.edu<http://tamuc.edu/> and follow the same navigation so you can compare the current template with the new one.

NOTE: The content on your web pages, is a snapshot of the live site from about a month ago, so any edits you have made in the last month are not reflected in the test environment. Once the template is applied and is live, the webpages will have the correct information.

HINT: If you are suddenly looking at a page that looks like the current design, DON'T PANIC! You probably clicked on a link that is hard coded and not managed by the CMS. If you want to test the page, just change http://www.tamuc.edu/example to http://www.tamuc.edu/Dev/example by adding Dev/ after http://www.tamuc.edu/.

3. For each page, please check that:
            * Everything is still visible and on the page
            * Links are going to the correct places
            * Make sure no content is missing or cut off
            * Photos you have explicitly chosen are visible (default images will not be visible)
            * Elements are aligned with no unexpected spacing
           * Any forms or applications are working correctly
                        * Such as image sliders
                        * Drop downs
                        * Accordions style content displays

4. If you find an issue to report, please email WebPageFeedback at tamuc.edu<mailto:WebPageFeedback at tamuc.edu> and include:
            * A screenshot of the page
            * The URL of the page where the issue is visible
            * A description of the issue on that page which is not performing as expected

Here is an example report email to use as a template:

URL of the page where the issue is visible:
http://www.tamuc.edu/Dev/example

Issue:
The table that I created on this page does not fit in the space anymore. It used to fill the space but now it is cut off when I view it on my iPhone 5s running OS8.

Thanks for your assistance as we move forward with optimizing our website.
CITE Team
