I send my support and thanks as well. The sense of solidarity with basic writing and basic writers at the conference this year was very strong. And this will certainly last into next year as well.

I would like to add a special thanks to Peter and Lynn for their crucial role in suggesting Mike Rose for the exemplar award. That was truly the highlight of the conference for me and many others.
I added as signatories (I think we had to have at least 5) the e board members who were in attendance on Tuesday night when we discussed this and Shannon who chimed in last night on e-mail. I *think* we would think this was a good thing, but didn't want to misrepresent anyone who wasn't part of the conversation.
