<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">I know that I moved 50 boxes of books to Cincy when I came here. Seems to me that I've</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">still been buying books, so the thought of packing them and all my other stuff is beyond</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">intimidating, even with help from my kids and grandkids.

<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">From now through mid-June is the last term for the Center for Access and Transition, something</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">that deeply saddens us. I did submit a dossier for tenure and promotion, which was originally turned</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">down and then approved. It has been a crazy time, with intense pressures on faculty, staff, and</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">students. Amng other crazy things, I got an email from the Assistant Provost asking me to withdraw</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">my dossier, so I could serve on the department RPT committee. Then he decided that I could serve</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">on the committee without withdrawing my dossier. Everyone who was not tenured last year was given</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">notification of pending termination. But the administration keeps refusing to actually fulfill the terminations,
</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">giving people futile hope that their jobs will be safe. I am so glad that I decided to remain this year
</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">because many of our folks are dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, and fears for the future, and</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">I'm able to provide a listening ear, and other supports. I'm working with REACH (a support service for</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">all kinds of issues) to provide support beyond merely listening to folks. The folks in REACH are also being</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma">fired to be replaced by outsourced service providers. They have six months til termination and will be</font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="tahoma"><font face="tahoma">deeply sensitized to the issues being faced by the CAT folks</font>.
