Sorry I’m so very late getting into this conversation (we hosted a conference last week and I’m only beginning a frantic climb up Mt. Forgotten Duties).

Thanks for your great support of Susan’s great idea! Barb had some great ideas about the viability of other networking sites, too. She’s given me permission to share those with you, which I will in a moment.

Thanks, as well, to Susan for setting up the site and inviting folks to join. As of tonight (a few days in), we already have 55 friends. That sounds pretty good to me!

Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing all of you very, very soon.

Best,
Shannon
Hi Everyone,

Okay, I guess I am going to have to wade into these unknown waters. I'm glad to hear Susan that you have made this trajectory in only a year. Maybe I can too!

See you all in SF,

Thanks, everyone. And thanks to Kathleen for pointing out that creating a FB group page is for publicity/visibility issues.

I love FB in ways I would never have imagined a year ago-- when I actively resisted signing on. It's a pleasant to surprise to discover how much FB teaches me about Web 2.0.

SO-- if there are no further questions, concerns, or conundrums to consider, I will go ahead and work on the group page this weekend. Also, if anyone would like to co-administer the FB page, please let me know.

Thanks again and wishing you all safe travels and adequate funding to/for SF and CCCC,
Susan and all, hello from sunny Las Cruces.
My comments are in line with Bill, except that my facebook usage is
nonexistent rather than desultory.
Daughter Katie recently sent some user points on protecting privacy on
facebook accounts--I'm assuming that we'll be fine, as we're going for
publicity rather than privacy.
Thanks, Susan, for this idea. kb
