And I think you're right: some people want to attend two different pre-convention workshops on Wednesday. And some people want to reserve the morning or the afternoon to do something else. And for financial reasons, some people might need to fly in on Wed. morning and attend only a half-day workshop in the afternoon.
time/part time) to pay the reduced fee.

And I like very much the idea of breaking the CBW Workshop into two
sessions. I wish every workshop would do that, especially since I feel so
torn every year when it comes to my own workshop attendence. Last year I had
to miss the CBW Workshop entirely, for example, because it conflicted with a
full-day IWCA workshop.

So if I'm understanding correctly, you are suggesting that we continue to
offer the CBW Workshop Wednesday (as always), but divide the workshop we
have traditionally offered as a single event into two separate workshops?
Thus, I could attend all day if I wanted to (at $40) or I could select the
morning session (at $20) or the afternoon session (at $20). I like that idea
very much, for all the reasons Barbara suggests.
