[CBW_Exec] Exec Board Meeting Minutes (CBW 2012)

Thanks, Liz. The workshop is shaping up beautifully, and I am glad that Victor is working with our schedule and our workshop aims.

However, would someone else like to be Victor's introducer, and officially listed as a workshop participant? I say this because I just realized that I agreed to be a speaker in another workshop proposal (on translingualism--an issue for many of our BW students), so I might have to choose a single workshop. I know some folks do two workshops--Victor is doing that, for instance; is that allowed?

I can, if necessary then, give someone else the chance to introduce Victor and be a participant for listing in the CBW workshop. (That said, I have a keen interest in the CBW workshop and have assumed I would drop by to catch as much as possible of the program.)

I know workshop participation doesn't conflict with panel proposing, but I didn't notice a CCCC statement on double workshop participation; just assumed it might be frowned upon by the CCCC folks. I look forward to your response and advice. Once again, I am glad for the direction the CBW program is taking.

Collegially,

Bill

Friends,

Please find below a link to a DRAFT of our proposal for CCCC 2013. I'm sure it will benefit from your ideas and thoughts. Things you can do (you have editorial rights on the google doc):

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Uj1ZZEB5CrWyiaw-GyeEcfFx4GPZDVujL_uY0O4VMwY/edit

1. Edit/Add to/Change the beginning, framing paragraph. Feel free to add as you would like. I've drafted some general language that I think reflects our conversation.

2. If you are a MODERATOR or SPEAKER, please, in the document, list your name as you would like it to appear AND all contact information so that I can cut and paste into the CCCC form. Please do this at the end of the document where I have listed speakers. You will need to include: name, institutional affiliation, phone number, e-mail, address, first time speaker y/n, and scholar for the dream y/n.

3. If you NEED TO BE LISTED as a moderator or speaker (for funding) and YOU WILL BE AT CCCC, AT THE WORKSHOP, AND WILLING TO HELP AT THE WORKSHOP, let me know and we will fit you in. However, I do not want to list anyone who will not be at the conference or at the conference but not at the workshop, please.

4. We can tweak times later, as needed. However, if you see a glaring error in terms of time, please let me know.

5. Feel free to edit any language EXCEPT for Wendy & Steve's description.

6. As a group, we will organize the publishing and the poster session, but I have designated moderators for these for the purposes of the proposal. If you want to be listed as a mentor, particularly for the publishing panel, please let me know.

Anything else?

Open season on the proposal! Do what you will!

Liz
