[CBW_Exec] CBW 2013

I vote for 1 & 2, as they are are inextricably linked. The HSI where I
worked in TX the 00s is, as of this year, no longer open admissions
(like so many other institutions across the country). Additionally,
since the mid-00s, when tuition deregulation @publicly funded
institutions was passed by the TX legislature, the percentages of
Mexican and Mexican-American students enrolled in public institutions
across TX have decreased (at least as of 2010). This intersection of
issues fits with access and cutting back on programs that Liz mentions
in #1.
Also-- would it be possible to scale back to 1 keynote? I followed the
2012 keynotes on Twitter (thanks, Marisa!) and felt vicariously and
deeply the inspiration that the speakers offered. At the same time, if
we focused on 1 keynote, we would leave more time for more burgeoning
scholars (and potential future keynoters!) to present.
What do others think?
Best,
Susan
