Hi All,
I'm working on the listserv. I thought it was fixed, but it doesn't seem
to be. I've touched base and already heard back from Tom Reynolds who is
on the ground at UMN.
Rebecca & Susan: is it okay to publish your statements in support of the
Sense of the House on the blog? I don't want to put them there without
your explicit permission.
Peter: do you think it's okay to e-mail David to ask? (I can do this--I
know you're already at another conference).
Thanks,
Liz

Congratulations and thanks to all for getting this done--and with a
unanimous vote!! I'm sorry I missed all the excitement. I was out of
e-mail
contact and re-connecting with old friends who live in Atlanta. I think
it's
great that you pulled together the piece for "Inside Higher Ed," and
it's
fine if you did or didn't end up including my statement.
A further update: The BW session from 11 to 12:45 on Saturday, at which
Sugie, Peter, and Lynn spoke, was truly excellent. It was well attended
and
the three talks were great as was the 20-minute discussion that
followed. Print versions of these three talks will be featured in an
upcoming issue of *JBW*.
Kudos to all for a great conference and for this renewed focus and
energy!!
Rebecca
P.S. We really need to make the 2012 CCCC in Atlanta one in which BW
will
shine. After catching your breath, remember to start working on
proposals
for next year. I believe the submission deadline is May 6.
