Subject: [CBW_Exec] Shannon and I made a call--PRESS RELEASE YES--Hope this
 is okay

Hi Folks,

I am very consensus driven and very committed to group process, so I'm feeling strange about making a call here. However, the hour is late and it seems like we have a moment. I think some of you have gone to bed, some of you are still working & in sessions, and some of you don't have e-mail access!

Shannon and I just talked. The press release is uncharted territory for us, but we had incredible energy today around this issue and the BW folks are all fired up. So, Shannon and I think we should go ahead and release the press release even though we haven't heard from everyone.

I really, really hope you can all live with that. We're moving forward with definitive yeses from Liz, Shannon, Deborah, and Sugie from the EB and from Mike, who talked with the IHE folks.

Mike, please go ahead and release the press release to IHE with TWO changes:

1. Please remove the quote from Rebecca. I do not think we should release a quote without her permission and we haven't heard from her tonight. I don't, in any way, want to misrepresent her work. So, let's take that out.

2. And, can you please add those weblinks I gave you? I believe they go after the contact information.

Thank you all so much for your hard work, your energy, and your patience as we ride this wave.

I want to echo what I said yesterday. No matter what comes out of tomorrow's meeting, this is a good moment for us to seize on. No matter what, we've reasserted ourselves and we'll be able to build on this.

I can't wait to hear how it goes tomorrow!

Liz
