[CBW_Exec] BWe, Special Issue proposal (vote by 3/5/10)

Colleagues,

I was only just elected to the board, and I was looking forward to beginning to become part of this group at the C's. My roots in basic writing are deep, and I'm committed to it philosophically and politically. However, as I will be assuming the position of Head of my department as of March 15, I think it best that I resign.

I thank you all for including me and for the work you're doing. As Head, I will support an exemplary basic writing program and will do everything I can to communicate to administrators what basic writing is--and, perhaps more importantly, what it is not.

Regretfully,
Donna

This does, indeed, sound fantastic. I like the idea of a special issue, and this
topic is one in which I have little (no) experience, so I'm looking forward to a
lessening of my ignorance.

I am sad to not be going to CCCC for the first time in many years. Know that I
will be thinking of you all and missing you. kb
