Thanks so much for your response Kathleen. Let me weave responses below (with *SC). Great ideas! Think these will lead us in some very productive directions.

Hi, Shannon and all. I'm confused. We/Kelly collected names, right? I'm
not sure where and how they were collected, but I'm guessing that it was
at CCCC or other conferences or via conversations somewhere?
*SC: exactly, and via the various listservs.
Anyway, those
who gave their names wanted to be more connected to CBW? Or something
else?
*SC: Yes, they wanted to be more connected to CBW.
I think, if the idea is that we want more positive attention to BW and
CBW,
*SC: Yes! Exactly.
we have a discussion listserv and we have a facebook page and we have
an ejournal and we have a website . . . . It doesn't seem to me like we
need another form of communication, just more activity with what we
already have.
I'm open to alternative views, but that's my initial take. As for how to
get more activity, we could:
- each pledge to add 1 or 2 or 5 people to CBW listserv
*SC: Do we have access to the CBW listserv to add people? Oh, but you are suggesting we encourage them to join the CBW listserv. Good!
- divide up Kelly's list and encourage them to join
- each contact one person about reading, contributing to, and making a
suggestion about BWe
- each ask someone at another institution, as well as our own, to put the
word out about the website, listserv, BWe, and facebook
- blah, blah, blah.
I'm certain I'm missing info, and that may be part of my confusion, but I
hope this helps you all clarify things for me. Thanks again for all that
you do for BW. kb
*SC: I like it! What about the rest of you? Other ideas? Wanna riff on these? What do we do next? (and I'm not sure I see you are confused at all, Kathleen!)
