Thursday morning works for me, too. And if Hannah is coming up with
croissants (though I know they won't match the excellent muffins she
made for us colleagues in her department yesterday!) and coffee, that's
a strong inducement.
Cheers,

First of all, it looks fantastic. I think we should revisit the
initiative of getting the word out about BWe. (Increasing its linkages
and visibility).
Secondly, we have heard from several people that Thursday morning will
work for our Board meeting, and no nays at that time. I volunteer to
come up with some croissants and coffee. I'm going to propose
8:30-10:00a.m. Does that work for everyone?

Subject: [CBW_Exec] New Issue of BWe: Basic Writing Electronic Journal
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the new issue of BWe: Basic Writing
Electronic Journal 7.1 is now available on the web at
http://orgs.tamu-commerce.edu/BWe/Issue_7.1.html. In this issue you
will find reviews of CCCC 2008 sessions focused on basic writing as well
as book reviews and an article on a proposed basic writing social
justice initiative.
You will also see the new design of BWe. Click the "Next Issue" link
to find our call for papers. We are especially interested in publishing
book reviews of new books by teacher/scholars in Basic Writing, as well
as books that are broadly relevant to the field of Basic Writing.
If you follow the "Research in Progress" link, you will find
information for two Basic Writing-focused sessions at CCCC 2009 in San
Francisco. Even if you cannot attend the convention, you can still
participate in these projects by completing the surveys that presenting
teacher/scholars will discuss at CCCC.
We hope you enjoy this new issue and our new design and we also hope
that you will keep us in mind for future submissions.
Sincerely,
Susan Naomi Bernstein
