Kathleen, thank you so much for all of the work you've been doing to keep this organization moving forward and revising its practices to find the best way we can fulfill our potential in the coming year.

Subject: [CBW_Exec] cbw minutes / 2008 precon

Thanks to all of you who have responded about the minutes, and especially to
all for agreeing to do the work listed therein.

Susan is working with presenters for the precon (New Orleans Writing Project
and the two Inny winners), and she's been in contact with Chuck Bazerman about
one or two workshops. We'll keep you updated as to how he and Eileen Maley
advise us to proceed. I agree that we want to keep costs down and choices
open, when possible, but if it looks like there's much of a chance that one of
our workshops would possibly be rejected, we'll stay with one and encourage
grad students to come without paying or something like that; no sense getting
ahead of ourselves at this point.

If there are any of you who do NOT want to be listed as discussion leaders for
the precon workshop(s), please let me know. Otherwise, when we submit the
proposal, I'll list all of you. And Sarah, I'll for sure have you on this one--
lo siento mucho for the omission this last time!

Greg, I downloaded the pictures, but I have to download them in a different way
to be able to send them to you. In other words, I have to get technical help
from one of my kids b/c I don't know what I'm doing. kb
