  Hello fellow social workers,<br>
  <br>
  Perhaps this may happen often or not, but this is the first time that during
  my experience as a social worker, even though I am interning, that what has
  happened in my community has really coincided with my practice.<br>
  <br>
  Friday afternoon 3 young girls were hit and killed by an oncoming car on
  State Hwy 34 in Terrell, TX crossing the street to go home. Two of the girls,
  Ana Segura and Viridiana Roa, were in high school, and Jacqueline Segura
  attended the middle school in Terrell. <br>
  <br>
  http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/Terrell-schools-brace-for-grief-stricken-students-78676462.html<br>
  <br>
  I've attended these schools, the new highway that was built and opened within
  this year is actually right behind my home that I have lived in for over 10
  years and I can see from my backyard where the accident took place. I used to
  play in the field that was there during my childhood and this is such a
  tragedy to know that lives were now taken there too soon.<br>
  <br>
  I'm currently about to end my internship with the Terrell ISD Family Resource
  Center and Counseling, so I was one of the helping professionals there along
  with clergy and counselors even from other school districts at the Terrell
  schools on Monday. <br>
  <br>
  Seeing the students at Terrell High School, many were mourning but all
  discussed ways to help the family. The students have really come together to
  support one another during this time and have the desire to help the families
  in any way possible. They have inspired me to do so as well.<br>
  <br>
  I am writing you to see if it would be possible for you to make a small
  donation to the Segura/Roa family benefit account to help the families with
  their financial expenses at this time. Donations have to be physically made
  at an American National Bank (ANB), because the bank is not allowed to give
  out the account number. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. <br>
  <br>
  If there are any questions you can call the Terrell ANB at (972) 524-3411<br>
  <br>
  Also if you are needing to locate the nearest local ANB to you, you can go to
  this web address:<br>
  http://www.anbtx.com/locations/locations.htm<br>
  <br>
  I may not have children, but I have seen what the loss of a child can do to a
  parent. The last worry that needs to be of concern is finances. If you can
  not donate, the spread of work of the benefit account would also be helpful.
  Thank you for your time.<br>
