[BSW] BSW Program Updates

[Dashaela Dennis]

Dear BSW Students,

I am writing to inform you of an important change in the leadership of the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program.

Dr. Brenda Moore has resigned from her position as BSW Program Director and faculty member. We thank Dr. Moore for her contributions to the program and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Moving forward, Professor Randi Wright will serve as the BSW Program Director. Professor Wright brings valuable experience and expertise, having previously served as Clinical Instructor and BSW Program Director, and as an adjunct. I am optimistic about her rejoining our team. She brings a strong commitment to social work education and student success, and she is dedicated to supporting our students as they progress through the program. She will be working closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure continuity and maintain the high quality of the BSW program.

While leadership transitions can raise questions, please know that the BSW Program remains committed to providing you with the education, resources, and support you need to achieve your academic and professional goals. There are no anticipated disruptions to your coursework, field education, advising, or program operations.

If you have questions regarding the BSW Program, advising, or program requirements, please feel free to reach out to Professor Wright.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the social work profession and to your studies. We look forward to supporting you throughout the academic year.

Sincerely,

Marcella Smith, PhD
