[BSW] FW: Blended Class Structure For Fall 2020- Information about preparing for classes

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well during this very stressful time. As we begin to prepare for the  Fall semester and the beginning of classes, I wanted to share the information below:

All undergraduate social work classes will be offered in a blended format. This means there will be limited opportunity to engage in a face to face classroom for students who desire that option. For students who desire to receive classroom instruction remotely, the F2F sessions will be streamed live and recorded for future viewing.

When we get closer to the first day of class, your instructors will be in touch with you to set up a system that will determine which students want to attend classes on campus. We will be following all CDC, University and Expert guidelines for social distancing, health screening before each class, sanitizing and wearing masks will be required. To maintain social distancing, each classroom has been given a maximum occupancy - for ours it is between 5-7 students. We will devise a schedule that will provide an opportunity, on average, for any one student to attend a face to face class session once every two weeks. The remainder of the time, students will engage in remote instruction.

NOTE; for BSW seniors in Commerce, we are working to move the Face to Face portion of your classes back to Mondays as originally scheduled. This will depend upon room availability, but we will let you know as soon as possible.
