[bsw] Congratulations to Carla Asbill!

Many of you know Carla Asbill, who has been an instructor for us and
Project Pride Director for the past few years... I'm sorry to say that
she has left us, but for many good and happy reasons!!  She is engaged
to a wonderful guy who happens to live in San Antonio, so after almost 2
years of a long-distance relationship, she was offered a full-time
teaching position with Texas State University in San Marcos!!  This will
allow her and Scott to pursue their plans for the future without
geographic restrictions!!

 

The offer from Texas State University was received in mid-December,
right before Christmas, so Carla had about 2-3 weeks to move out of her
apartment, transition to her new living arrangements and get ready for
classes next week.  So, there was no time for farewells, but she can
still receive TAMU-C emails for a little while (carla.asbill at tamuc.edu)
if anyone would like to communicate and get future contact information
from her.

 

Carla was a valuable member of the School of Social Work family and we
will greatly miss her.  We wish her the best of luck and much happiness
for the future!
