[bsw] Online Teaching Excellence Awards

Dear Students - hopefully you're feeling the relief that comes at the
end of a long semester (along with the fatigue!).  Before you put all
your books up for the break, I have a request... The Chancellor of Texas
A&M System has implemented a Teaching Excellence Award system based on
students' evaluations of their faculty.  These Teaching Excellence
Awards provide a financial award to faculty (full-time and adjuncts) who
have at least 75% of their students complete the online evaluation
(through MyLeo) and score their faculty highly.  

 

I believe we have some awesome faculty and adjuncts in the Social Work
Department and I hope you would take a few minutes to log on and
complete this very brief evaluation to provide recognition of excellence
in teaching.  Our university typically has 12-15 faculty campus-wide who
receive this award every semester.  I would love to see our department
represented for the competence of our instructors.  There's no limit to
how many faculty in a department can receive the award - it's solely
based on eligibility based on most the class completing the evaluation
and scoring the professor highly.
