Training Associate
 
Dallas CASA, a non-profit agency that advocates for the best interests of
abused and neglected children, seeks a Training Associate.  Responsibilities
of this newly created position include facilitating new and on-going
training courses for volunteers; assisting with preparations for volunteer
training; and tracking/reporting information regarding potential volunteers
and volunteers in training.  The Training Associate will report to the
Director of Recruitment and Training and will work closely with recruitment
and other program staff.  Candidates must have excellent verbal and written
communication and public speaking skills; excellent organizational skills;
the ability to establish rapport with a diverse range of people and
facilitate interactive training and the ability to work some evenings and
weekends.  Required skills:  training experience, familiarity with Microsoft
Office.  Preferable skills: Training experience in a nonprofit setting;
knowledge of the child welfare system; and/or familiarity with Raiser’s Edge
software. Education:  Bachelors degree OR equivalent combination of
experience and education, focusing on communications, public relations,
social work and/or another applicable field.
