Hi, Dr. Moore,

David Rankin suggested that I contact you. 

We are preparing to launch a very exciting research tool at Gee Library. It
is called SuperSearch. What SuperSearch does is take the guess work out of
research by providing a simple interface that searches across all Gee
Library resources. This includes LION Catalog, e-books, and all of the
e-journals subscribed to by Gee Library.

For the more experienced and sophisticated researchers, SuperSearch offers a
host of advanced features, such as the ability to choose which informational
resources SuperSearch will search, a search for specific journals, the
ability to save research for later use, and so much more.

What we are asking you to do is help us put together some focus groups for
the testing of our interface. Feedback from faculty and students is very
important in helping us evaluate how to best configure SuperSearch. Please
help us by asking 2 or 3 students in your class to volunteer to spend about
45 minutes with us between June 20 and June 29. You are also encouraged to
volunteer. As a way to say "thank you," we are offering a $5 credit to be
added to participant's LION Card. Also, every participant will be eligible
to win one of five $20 credits on their LION Card.

Anyone interested in participating in the SuperSearch focus groups can
contact me via email or phone. I will try to set up the most convenient time
for each participant.
