[bsw] Anth 114 online

[Brenda Moore]

It seems that several students have taken a telecourse through Dallas County
Community College. One of your colleagues was so kind as to ever provide
specific registration information.

It consisted of a book and a set of videos. I wanted the videos and read
the assigned chapters and then took on-line tests. It wasn't easy but I was
able to work ahead and finish the course about a month early so it was good
in that sense.

* Registration for 2006-2007 Winter and Spring terms begins Tuesday, Nov.
21 for returning students (priority registration) and Monday, Nov. 27 for
all students (regular registration).

According to the site they haven't started registration yet, but I know when
I took it, the class filled up quickly so tell folks to get started on it
ASAP.

Another student wrote:

I AM CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN ANTHROLOGY THROUGH EASTFIELD COLLEGE AT THE

MESQUITE CAMPUS. IT IS A TELECOURSE. T.SULLIVAN IS MY INSTRUCTOR. VERY

HELPFUL! HE WILL EVEN ALLOW YOU TO FINISH THE COURSE AS EARLY AS YOU
WOULD

  TO.

Brian Brumley also said that Central Texas College in Killeen also offers an
online Anthropology course.

Good luck and THANK TO EVERYONE WHO RESPONDED!!
