Greetings and happy summertime!! PLEASE NOTE 2 important ANNOUNCEMENTS 

 

ANNOUNCEMENT #1:  For students who will START their UPPER DIVISION social
work classes in Fall 2006 (admitted in May). NOTICE FROM FINANCIAL AID
(Current students in field should have already taken care of this):

 

NEW INFORMATION REGARDING FINANCIAL AID:  The new automatic packaging system
gives loans to the maximum for fall and spring which does not leave money
for summer.  Please be sure to advise your students who will be doing
internships in the summer (2007) that they need to request less loan money
for fall and spring to allow money for summer or they will need to set money
aside for their summer. Also, remind them to advise us at summer that they
are in 10 week classes.   So, if plan on receiving financial aid for
2006-2007 (including SUMMER WHEN YOU WILL BE IN FIELD) you MUST contact one
of the financial aid officers to complete this request or your financial aid
will be expended over the fall/spring semesters!

ANNOUNCEMENT #2:  For students who enrolled at TAMU-C prior to 2005-2006 and
who have a capstone requirement still unfulfilled on their degree plan....
You can go to the COEHS Advising Center (Ed. North 108) and request an
"updated catalog" that will waive this requirement.  MAKE SURE you will have
enough hours to graduate, but if you have NOT YET taken a capstone and it's
on your degree plan, this will eliminate this requirement!!! (For those of
you who have already completed, disregard!).  Email me if you have questions
or go see the Advising Center.
