An Exciting Opportunity!

We are looking for leaders with a heart to make a difference for some of
Dallas' neediest families.   

AVANCE-Dallas has immediate openings for Teaching and Social Work positions
for Bilingual, Spanish speaking professionals.

 

With a bachelors degree (or completed as of June 2006):

 

*	They could be a PARENT EDUCATOR - This position is responsible for
teaching the AVANCE parent education curriculum, for coordinating all site
specific services available to parents with the parent education component. 

 

*	They could be the HOPE HOME-BASED SUPERVISOR - This position is
responsible for supervising 2 "family helpers" and making home visits and
addressing the social service needs of participants in the AVANCE-Dallas
parenting program; maintaining an ongoing case load of families in greatest
need. 

 

Without a college degree

*	They could be the FAMILY HELPER - This position is responsible for
making home visits and addressing the social service needs of participants
in the AVANCE-Dallas parenting program preventatively as a "comadre" or
friend; maintaining an ongoing case load of families in greatest need.  They
will serve as an example to re-direct or correct minor problem behaviors in
the home and refer to caseworkers for social services as needed
