Dear Art Educators:

On behalf of the faculty of the Department of Art at Texas A&M University-Commerce, I am pleased to invite you to our annual Art Day on Saturday, November 1, 2014.

Open to high school juniors and seniors and to junior college art majors, Art Day is a full day of hands-on workshops, informational sessions, portfolio reviews, and a scholarship competition juried by art professionals.  In addition to the various hands-on workshops, informational sessions are scheduled for parents and teachers.  These sessions will discuss all areas of the Department of Art.  We invite teacher/parent observation in all of the workshops.  The fee for Art Day is $25 but parents and teachers get to attend for free. Lunch is included for all!  Sign up and join the fun!

Because Art Day workshops fill up fast, we encourage early registration, either online or by mail as soon as possible.  We are scheduling onsite registration as well as check-in for pre-registrants from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the main art building room 111.

In addition, this is Homecoming weekend for the Texas A&M Lion Football team.  We will serve lunch outside of our Sculpture facilities located near to the stadium so you and your students, with their parents, can be a part of the tailgate experience.  If you and your students, with their parents, would like to stay after the workshops to attend the Homecoming game we can provide you with free tickets to the game if you respond to this email by October 15th with your ticket request and number of attendees.
