[AreaMusicTeachers] FREE Opera Performance for Elementary Students

Dear Music Educators,

The East Texas A&M University Opera Theatre will present Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti on Friday, November 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.  We cordially invite you and your students to attend!  Admission is FREE—you only need to arrange for transportation to the ETAMU Music Building Concert Hall. This fully-staged opera will be a delightful experience for you and your students.

We at the ETAMU Opera Theatre believe that the performing arts are an essential component of every student’s education and that all students should be given opportunities to explore this medium. To help accomplish this, we are committed to fostering strong partnerships with schools, educators, and parents to provide students with access to opportunities that illustrate how the arts are vital to our humanity.

All music teachers whose students attend will receive an Opera Guide to prepare your students for the performance.
