Please consider lending your expertise to the 12th Annual Bill Martin Jr Symposium by being a presenter for a break-out session. Break-out sessions can either be an individual special topic or a roundtable. The individual special topic will be 50 minutes long and the roundtable will consist of two 15-20 minute topics supported with a moderator. Topics appropriate for this conference range from sessions on children’s and adolescent literature, pedagogy, classroom management, technology, math, science, social studies, reading, and writing to specialty areas (Special Education, English Language Learners, or Gifted & Talented). We encourage sessions targeted for specific grade levels such as EC-6, 4th-8th, or secondary. We welcome proposals that honor the legacy of Bill Martin Jr, which allows children to experience the wonder of language through reading books.

Proposals will be accepted from January 20th through March 1st through our online proposal website:www.tamuc.edu/BillMartinJr<http://www.tamuc.edu/BillMartinJr>

Presenters will receive acceptance notifications by March 15th. All Presenters will be required to register at the reduced presenter rate of $30. For questions or comments about proposals and presentations, please contact Tami Morton at Tami.Morton at tamuc.edu<mailto:Tami.Morton at tamuc.edu> or 972-951-2258.
