Dear Colleagues ~
Please take a look at the information below about our annual Bill Martin Jr
Memorial Symposium, and consider sharing your expertise with the general
education teachers. Bill Martin Jr was a huge advocate for integrating the
arts with E/LA, math, science, and social studies. Music specialists have
so much to contribute in this area!

Please consider lending your expertise to the 10th Annual Bill Martin Jr
Symposium by being a presenter for a forty-five minute break-out session.
Topics appropriate for this conference range from sessions on children¹s and
adolescent literature, pedagogy, classroom management, technology, math,
science, social studies, reading, and writing to specialty areas (Special
Education, English Language Learners, or Gifted & Talented). We encourage
sessions targeted for specific grade levels such as EC-6, 4th-8th, or
secondary. We welcome proposals that honor the legacy of Bill Martin Jr,
which allows children to experience the wonder of language through reading
books.
Proposals will be accepted from February 3rd through March 20th through our
online proposal website: www.tamuc.edu/BillMartinJr
<http://www.tamuc.edu/BillMartinJr>
Presenters will receive acceptance notifications by April 18th. All
Presenters will be required to register at the reduced presenter rate of
$30.
For questions or comments about proposals and presentations, please contact
Tami Morton at Tami.Morton at tamuc.edu or 972-951-2258.
The Bill Martin Jr Memorial Symposium celebrates its Tenth Anniversary with
the launch of an Outdoor Learning STEM Academy on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
